(collofthehebrides@gmail.com)   - Thank you'

I was born on the island of Coll in the 1950 s in Green cottage in the village of Arinagour.  Our family ran the main shop on the island  (MacDonalds stores)  for many years up until the mid to late seventies.

We are regular visitors to the island which because of my birth I still call home (A genuine  ' Collach' in person and in heart.

Most residents on the island are now incomers  which is great as without them the island would 'close down'

Green cottage as it looks today after being modernised and had its colour changed.  When  it was owned by our family it was a bright green with equally bright  red  doors and window frames.  This mad colour scheme brought a smile to the face of many visitors.

Two real 'Collachs'  myself and my dear late mother  Johann Park (nee MacDonald)  both of us actually born in Green cottage.  This photo was taken on the day of her 95th birthday as she enjoys a bit of birthday cake. Sadly my mother passed away on 09/11/16 at the good old age of 95.

The old pier in Coll`s only village,  Arinagour with  my  place of birth  the  cottage  with gable end facing us in the centre of picture.
